Technocom, now in a school or healthcare facility near you!
Although Technocom customers are as varied as the products and services offered by the company itself, two markets have emerged as specialty areas for the commercial division. Education–related and Healthcare–related applications are becoming commonplace for Technocom. From infrastructure wiring installations for large schools, to wireless applications in sensitive healthcare facilities, Technocom has surfaced as the Northwest leader for these important installations. Technocom has also installed switches and phone systems, full security systems, and managed carrier service contracts for many educational and healthcare facilities over the past few years. Technocom thrives with the challenges presented by educational and healthcare–related installations. The solutions must feature the best in technology through–out, yet be completed under tight budget constraints without cutting corners. Through our engineering expertise, our seasoned work teams and our leverage with vendors, we can meet or exceed such expectations.

Address change ahead for Technocom
Technocom’s Residential division will be moving out of its current location on SW 72nd Avenue in Tigard, Oregon in late July. The company will then take the opportunity to make a substantial operational change. Instead of the Residential office standing alone, the new facility in Lake Oswego, Oregon’s Kruse Woods will become a satellite office for the full services of Technocom. Although the new office will house the Residential warehouse and some Residential demonstration products, the office will serve as a hub for commercial operations in the area as well. In turn, some Residential administrative operations will benefit in efficiency from a move to the company headquarters in Wilsonville. With this increase in the synergy of the Residential and Commercial operations, both commercial and residential customers alike will receive the benefit of a premier total technology provider. Technocom also has an office in Kent, Washington. The new address for the Lake Oswego office is 5200 Meadows Road, Suite B–140, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035.

Technocom Values
As a company, Technocom’s employees have dedicated themselves to some core values. To start with, the company has continued its outstanding safety track record. Through a safety committee that meets often, the company is committed to safety education which has been instrumental in reducing accidents. With a mod rate that is well under the industry norm, Technocom prides itself in doing what we do, safely. Many employees are now also first–aid and CPR certified through a program run by the safety committee.
Technocom as a company, through it’s employee base, continues to care about the community around them. The company supports a number of community service based projects including several food drives, Abby’s Closet, Dress For Success, and the Children’s Course. In fact, in 2007, Technocom was recognized by the Portland Business Journal for its overall philanthropic commitment.
Finally, Technocom continues to work toward using practices which lead to overall environmental friendliness and sustainability. Whether reducing its fleet impact by quality management, supporting products such as lighting controls to reduce overall energy consumption, recycling products removed from old applications, or office policies which promote less energy use and increased recycling, Technocom continues to find ways to do its part.
