Technocom Displays One-Stop-Shop Capabilities

At Technocom, we take pride in being the leading Premier Total Technology company.  We are able to provide low-voltage and communications solutions to meet the most robust needs.  Below are examples of two companies that have benefited from Technocom's one-stop-shop versatility.

Technocom provided Pacific West Bank a voice & data cabling infrastructure in its new Lake Oswego location.  The bank then utilized that infrastructure to facilitate a new ESI phone system and several Audio-Video installations. 

The bank added a large flat screen TV in their lobby and another in their newly constructed, state-of -the-art conference room.  They also complimented their new facility with high-end audio components throughout the entire space.  The last piece of the puzzle was finding the right carrier and plan for telephone and internet service.  Pacific West Bank took advantage of Technocom's free Carrier Services Management. They requested our trained staff to analyze their specific business needs, and then ordered the best services at the most cost effective rates.

ODS Health Plans, a long-time customer, recently completed several projects in multiple locations from Portland to Bend. Technocom's one-stop expertise was demonstrated in the array of solutions that were completed at ODS sites.  Structured cabling infrastructures, security systems, point to point wireless, as well as the management of Qwest carrier services were all solutions handled by Technocom. 

The security products included access control card readers and a CCTV network with domed cameras.  The wireless solution assisted a site in bridging a need in a situation where a wired solution was not feasible. 

Like Pacific West Bank, ODS utilizes Technocom's carrier services management service.  In this case, as a Qwest agent, Technocom is able to assist in efficient management and cost savings.

Technocom News & Information

Technocom Sponsors Exhibit at Home Show

Technocom was the presenting sponsor of the "High-Performance Home" at Oregon Remodelers Association/NARI Annual Home Improvement & Remodeling Show.™ The show ran September 25 through September 28, 2008, at the Oregon Convention Center.

The exquisite space was designed by award winning local design firm Paolo Design Group and constructed by Argonaut Group, LLC. It incorporated many of the new green/sustainable technologies that are available to today's consumer. The project included features such as recycled bronze sinks, a bamboo (sustainable wood) door, highly efficient appliances and gas fireplace, paperstone counters, a rainwater catchment system, geothermal heat pump, and solar panels.

The exhibit was the hit of the show allowing for Technocom to demonstrate its top quality products.  Examples included Crestron controls for lighting, shades, HVAC, security, audio and TV, demonstrating total home automation.  Also on display were automatic Hunter-Douglas shades and several LCD flat panels.

Technocom Kicks off Lake Oswego Location with a Tailgate Party

Technocom completed a move to new office space in Lake Oswego in late July, and celebrated the move with a community tailgate party in September.  

Complete with decorations and of course a barbecue, over 50 attendees helped welcome Technocom to the neighborhood.  The new space, located off of Bany Road on Meadows Road, houses the company's Residential Division and also serves as a satellite office for the Commercial Division.  The newly remodeled building features several Technocom customers, including Pacific West Bank, and RF Sterns.  In addition, Technocom is proud of the building's community conference room which features Technocom-installed video and audio systems.  

Given the date of the party was September 11th, attendees seemed touched to receive an American flag pin given out by Technocom staff.

Technocom also maintains offices in Wilsonville, Oregon and Kent, Washington.

Facts about DTV Switch Coming in February

On February 17, 2009, federal law requires that all full-power television broadcast stations stop broadcasting in analog format and broadcast only in digital format. Congress mandated the conversion to all-digital television broadcasting, also known as the digital television (DTV) transition, because all-digital broadcasting will free up frequencies for public safety communications (such as police, fire, and emergency rescue). Also, digital is a more efficient transmission technology that allows broadcast stations to offer improved picture and sound quality, as well as offer more programming options for consumers through multiple broadcast streams (multicasting). In addition, some of the freed up frequencies will be used for advanced commercial wireless services for consumers.
